It wasn't Jeb Bush that created the problem. Even though I voted for Gore, I will admit that the problem was caused by the democratic idiots in Palm Beach county who introduced a butterfly ballot without testing it in advance. They cost Gore about 20,000 votes and the presidency. Coming in second is the democrats resistance to replacing punch ballots with optical ballots in the strongly democratic counties. Republicans pushed for this for several years. Democrats resisted. If you really want to blame somebody, ask yourself what you would have done differently if you were in their shoes. If I was George W or Jeb Bush, I would have basically done what they did. So how can I blame them? I hold George W responsible for the partisan cheap shots taken by Baker, but Gore did the same via Daley. It is hard to have any kind thoughts for ambassador-in-waiting Katherine Harris. She missed multiple opportunities to restore some civility to this difficult situation. She cranked up the partisan emotions by forcing the 5 pm deadline on that Sunday, thereby pissing off a lot of democrats and polarizing the situation. But I find it hard to fault Jeb or George W Bush. Tom D Gore supporter P.S. Monty (wherever you are), I am disappointed by the anger you unloaded on T2.
