<<It is hard to have any kind thoughts for ambassador-in-waiting Katherine Harris. She missed multiple opportunities to restore some civility to this difficult situation. She cranked up the partisan emotions by forcing the 5 pm deadline on that Sunday, thereby pissing off a lot of democrats and polarizing the situation. >>

Any Dem would have done as much or more for their party. And it is now very clear that an extension to the next morning at 9 am wouldn't have mattered at all. Bush has won every recount of all the votes! What would have mattered is if the Democratic Fla Supreme Court were less partisan. Man, are they biased or what??!!

BTW, do you know that the Democratic Party is now investigating the backgrounds of Repub electors all across the country? That wouldn't be in preparation to reveal anyting negative about them would it? LOL! The Dem party is now run by thugs and corporate bosses. Everyone knows that.

>>They cost Gore about 20,000 votes and the presidency.

Untrue. The ballot was not confusing and had been used for years - that was a red herring initially used to set the scheme for the Dem's to steal the election. A Dem outfit called Dem voters to have them complain - part of the plan.

The Miami Herald estimates that the bulk 5000+ Felons voted illegally for AlGore in FL and Dems actively registered voters in prisons and jails. Then the Dems used every ruse to keep the military from voting and then when they did vote, from having their votes counted. The networks called FL a win for AlGore before the polls closed in the GOP panhandle, costing Bush tens of thousands of votes according to Dem pollster Pat Caddell.

Still, with all that, Caddell adds that Bush easily won FL if all legal votes were counted, i.e., under the FL standard that existed prior to this election, a standard where "dimples" were never considered to be votes.
