Barry, Their ability to stay the course may be only slightly less uncommon than their shrewdness--and the reason why their achievements are so rarely duplicated. I contend that their ability to stay the course may be slightly more uncommon than their shrewdness. All of the great investors have made horrible mistakes as well as mistakes of lesser magnitude. It's the negative effects of the latter category that are so often minimized by holding and holding and holing. Notice that there's no "sell" component in the acronym, LTB&H.
