Jean,

Thanks. I hadn't seen that. If a scenario similar to that comes to pass, best case is that Identix is significantly weaker at the bargaining table. And that's not good at all. It has been my opinion all along that that's what the I/O Software stuff has been about.

Regards,

Jean, I'd also mention that under a Bush Presidency, we could expect to see more tax cuts and less money paid back to cut down the national debt. That will lead, inevitably, to the Federal Reserve keeping interest rates higher than they would under a Gore Presidency, which will in turn have the effect of strengthening the bond market, which will draw money out of the stock market, which will drop valuations, and hurt IDX.

That last is for Brad, who is only able to evaluate any political or social issue in terms of how it affects Identix's stock price. The problem with my analysis, of course, is that Brad is mostly just interested in his options, despite any core holding he may have, so the short run always seems to trump the long run for him. However, since I am a long term player, as are many others, I expect a Bush Presidency to be worse for my Identix holdings than a Gore Presidency.

I also note here for the record how well the stock markets -- if not IDX -- have done in the past eight years under Clinton, how engaged Clinton was personally in economic issues, and how completely disengaged from major issues Bush already has shown himself to be.

Microsoft

Jean,

BGB is a scummer....and a Democrat. He knows that we are a long way from Microsoft being let off the hook....or even being a threat to IDX....except perhaps as a company that could cough twice and buy IDX.

And I don't think he understands the meaning of the fine work IDX has been doing with the Federal Government over the last 6 years....kissing ass....getting our stuff into specifications...and so on.

Ever wonder what ANADAC is all about?...Providing security guards for naval bases?....Nope!...ANADAC is for hob-nobing with Admirals and Generals....and AGs....hanging out inside the beltway....consulting with the President....putting big whigs on the board. Taking Senators out for a round of golf. <g>

The Federal Government will tell Microsoft what they want in programs sold to the US Government......and they will tell Compaq, Gateway, Dell.....and anyone else who might want to sell PCs to the Government....and those companies will either deliver it that way, or they will pass up millions of dollars of sales.

If the Federal Government says that stuff comes with Biologon....stuff comes with Biologon. I bet the retired Admiral that IDX just put on the board would agree.

Microsoft would be much better off buying IDX for $25.00 per share...stick IDX technology in their stuff....and dominate the entire market......and they might.

Fowler is much smarter than you think. IDX will be calling the shots....not Microsoft.
