I saw Rep Dunn on a CNN political roundtable over the weekend. She said, and was not challenged by anyone else at the table, that "these ballots will not be examined after the election". I saw a repeat of the show later on in the day and I had to watch it a second time to make sure I heard her correctly. Now, if the words themselves weren't troubling enough, the way in which she made the statement sent a shiver down my spine. It was a coy grin that put a "we got you" spin on her words. It was the kind of look commonly referred to as, pardon the language, a "shit-eating grin". It was the first time that I realized that we may have some really serious social conflict come out of this mess. I have been lurking and watching you conversing with TP all day on the subject. At first, I thought you were just pushing his buttons, but now I realize that you are serious. I hope that you fully fathom that the harm that will be done to the country by sealing those ballots will outweigh by 1000 times the harm that will be done to country if Mr. Bush is not seen as a legitimate President. Mr. Bush will be viewed as illegitimate whether or not those ballots are counted. Mr. Bush will be viewed as illegitimate AND corrupt if those ballots are sealed away. I also would not underestimate the level of anger, I would describe it as rage, if such an unbelievable act of tyranny was carried out. It would be a mistake of epic proportions.

I hope you will reconsider your position and I hope that you are not representative of the amount of wisdom inherent in the GOP.

What you call counting, under these circumstances, is merely ballot tampering
I do not doubt that this is your desire, if not your idea of a good, smooth move. It's akin to burying the body after a lynching so as to not inflame any more passions. It would be seen for the coverup it is.
