Nadine - well said - 100% agreement
You forgot the "states rights" hypocracy of Bush protesting a state issue in the federal courts

as well as the fact that he signed into Texas law a bill that has the same "intent of the voter" statute on manual recounts

as well as the fact that he is still trying for a manual recount in NM as we speak

what a joke!

impugning the Democrats' patriotism over the military absentee ballots.
Are you denying that the democrats went after these votes? Do you realize that a group of Democrats are *still* pursuing this in court?

cnn.com

As for contesting this election, Gore is clearly breaking new ground here.

>>At least Gore didn't do that.<<

i disagree. gore has said that this election is tainted unless all the votes (read only those votes he wants counted) get counted. if a court decides against him then guess what? the court must have ruled to taint the election and make it unfair.

the pubs are jerks in this regard. that african american lady that was attacked with folks calling for her to recuse (sp??) herself was a joke. the fact there were no apologies as she let the law be her guide shows what a classless bunch the pub political hacks are.

i've got to say, though, the attempt to crush the career of the "butterfly ballot" lady strikes me as being exceptionally mean spirited, too. not sure which is worse.

again, i reach the same conclusion. both sides suck.

i will argue against anybody that says either bush or gore is somehow above his opponent. they are both sewer dwellers.

nadine, i can't imagine anybody feeling more entitled than al "i'm entitled so i'll cherry pick the election while i tell everyone i'm fighting for democracy" gore.
