Let me be the first of many to say keep posting. Data is Data. It is up to we investors to turn it into information. AMD did not go out of business, they simply did not meet analyst expectations. The fact that they are popular, still taking market share (one poster said 1% this quarter), and still very profitable counts for something.

Thanks for your leg work

re: "Therefore, I'll stop posting these data. Today is the last time."

NO ! NO ! NO! Please continue publishing this information. It is an invaluable precursor to future trends in Europe and other overseas markets. I (and I suspect that many others on this thread) regard the loss as very significant!!!!

Others who feel as I do please express your sentiments!!!

Patient Regards,

DARBES

I too appreciate the data that you post. Please reconsider your decision to stop posting that data.

Peter: Therefore, I'll stop posting these data

Who's the guy who can tell you what to do and what not?

After crawling through this 1M Florida soap posts spread all over the threads here on SI (BTW, Mani, thanks for the "clean room" facility you wisely implemented here several months ago) and after reading many on-topic stuff of inferior quality I encourage you to continue with your factual data.

Regards, Boris

Peter,

I think the data is valuable as it shows whats happening in the diy market.

Your data shows that the diy folks prefer AMD chips by a long shot.

These consumers are smart, technically proficient and likely value conscious.

Its good that AMD dominates this market.

However clearly its poor data to base investments upon.

My vote is to keep posting the data, but to add a disclaimer on the limitedness of the data.

The other factor is that it is daily data.

If we assume these guys sell 5k cpu's per month
(seems a lot to me).

The top part may sell 500 units/mo.

Or 20 units per day.

Clearly tough to make too many investment conclusions.

But still usefull, IMHO.

regards,

Kash
