But a majority said they would be comfortable with either man and willing to support the winner — 60 percent for Gore, 66 percent for Bush.

Good to know that the majority of Americans will take it all in stride - whatever happens. I voted for Gore and believe he is the far better man - both in terms of morality and ability. However, the vote in Florida is a tie. Statistically, no matter how much counting one does, the result will never be significant in support for either one.

Florida has a way for dealing with these sorts of ties. If the debate is continuing at this point in time with no clear winner, the legislature has the right to choose their Electoral College members. This is much the same way that Gore as vice president settles ties in the senate.

I actually think more voters in Florida went out to vote for Gore on November 7th. Unfortunately, the Florida election process is too noisy to really prove this.

Well, ColtonGang...if these polls were so accurate..then we would have seen a definite winner several weeks ago....The only one that was even close was Zogby...

On the other hand, were the rest of the polls right, and it was the actual ballots that were added, subtracted, mis punched, double punched, etc etc....that caused the difference?
