What standing, if any, do the existing Bush electors have at this point? Is the mere fact that a contest is still active enough to cloud their prior certification?

I am not sure that it does go out the window. But never the less, It is part the Democrat strategy however to call the electors in doubt, and why there is such apoplexy regarding the FL Legislature actions. Think about it, if all they are doing is confirming what has already been done, who cares.

The answer is that the dems plan to challenge it and their end game can be cut off at the knees by article II
