RE:"The obvious way to represent all voters was to split the electors, but that would have made Bush lost. So instead, they chose to disenfranchise half the voters and accomplish their real agenda- to put a Republican in the White House"

I don't think that's the way the law works. Only Nebraska can split electors and they haven't done it lately.

I don't like the idea of circumventing the voters as much as you do. That's what happening all around. This is not good. Regardless of who wins the state, I think it should be based on some vote count...machine, recount, hand recount, something.
At this point I still hoping for a resolution where the electors are chosen by the "some" vote. OTOH, the Legislature had no chioice but to find some electors as an insurance policy. I hope they won't have to send them.

What's your take on the USSC taking their time on the decision? Maybe they are devising a way to count? Flip a coin?

Scumbria,

Why so much hate?

You're a environmentalist driving a SUV, a vegetarian eating meat.

Being a liberal I bet you moved to Colorado so you could keep your guns.

True colors for a liberal.

Scumbria,

The Florida legislator set a precedent. The Supreme Court has set a precedent by getting involved in a Presidential election, and they may set other precedents when they rule.

The legacy of this election won't be who takes office, it will be it's influence on future elections. We've managed to take something simple and make it very complicated. I hope we don't see a lot of close elections in the future, I'm all for a landslide, regardless of who wins.
