Thank you for your support. We eventually worked out a compromise, and both sides got something in the end. We did not, though, give up our 1/2 control of the administration of the plan. It remains in a "lockbox," if you would, unlike IBM's plan. However, I still remain bitter that the suits used deceptive tactics ... including coaching the plan actuary on what to recommend as "a compromise." They were betting that we wouldn't do our homework, but we surprised 'em. The federal mediator even jumped the other side on more than one occasion for claiming that "these numbers are all too complicated for any of us to really understand."
