I have a couple of responses to make to this article.
First, it does support what I was attempting to get across earlier today vis-a-vis Buddhism as a religion

THIS article, THIS source--does support those ideas. You have every right to rely upon such sources in your journey down the path. One of the first things many of us learned in the pursuit of knowledge was the dictum: check your sources. The point being that anyone can have an opinion; But justified opinions require that certain criteria be met...

Regardless...Buddhism is clearly a religion to some people...

BBM, Thanks for your response I think I agree with both of your points. Personal experience and sincerity is perhaps the weakest argument for the truthfulness of any belief. I seem to have caused some offence by posting it, but it sounded like a religion to me.

From another post,
"The whole concept of karma, rebirth, and freedom from rebirth is extra-rational...outside the realm of what we in the West have commonly considered to be rational." #4709

Do you really believe there is one law of logic for the West and another for the East? Just wondering.

Welcome to the thread.
Have a good day
Greg
