OT/Doug. In my reply to a K.B. post a few weeks ago:

Said Gore wouldn't need a 4 year term in the White House to turn the Democrat Party "to dust"(G).

This guy is an absolute human wrecking ball!

He doesn't even need one year. Let him continue for the rest of the year and he will demolish the party.

1st, his defiant refusal to concede will divide the party between those fanatically loyal to him and traditional democrats.

The hand writing for this was on the wall when he started suing local Florida democrat county organizations when they at first refused to do his recounts. This madman will crush anyone who opposes him.

IMHO, Gore is making brilliant use of this situation to radicalize and consolidate control of the party. History has seen this process play out in other nations many times before.

Unless a group of key Democrat leaders take a stand soon Gore's intensely energized followers will continue their reprehensible tactics and utterly destroy the traditional democratic party replacing it with a radicalized mob with him at it's head.

Doug:

Not to pick a fight, or prolong the OT postings, but what you say:

<<what the left side of the spectrum truly stands for ... What it wants- is raw political power in order to enact their agenda for America in the 21st Century>>

can equally be said of the religious right end of the Republican spectrum with equally horrid potential consequences of a different sort. I lived in South Africa where the religious right (The Dutch Reformed Church) gave us apartheid, and I traveled as a kid throughout post WWII Europe (1947 & 9)where Hitler managed to use the concept of a chosen few blessed in the eyes of God to inflict a few horrors here and there.

Either end of the political spectrum is a very scary place.
