Nasdaq futures still do predict movement...

I have found that the NSDQ 100 is an accurate gauge of changing market sentiment, but only when the market is closed. When the market opens, the NASD 100 literally freezes in place for the entire day.

However, the E-NASDAQ index remains active throughout market hours. It was substantially up this morning at the open, and now (last time I looked) was substantially down. Throughout the election saga, the E-NASDAQ has instantly responded to perceived good news (Bush+) or perceived bad news (Gore+). I find it an excellent indicator of very-near term market movement.
