Maybe Intel isn't hungry at the moment. They've allowed AMD to pick some of the low hanging fruit in the past, and then flexed their muscles (changed the rules of the game) and pushed them away. The mmx gambit comes to mind. I think we need to measure this encounter over a longer period of time before we come to a conclusion.
