Applied Materials Inc. (AMAT US) was downgraded to near-term ''neutral'' from near-term ''accumulate'' by analyst Brett A Hodess at Merrill Lynch.

I've liked what Hodess has had to say in the past. Now he seems to be bucking for a recount of chad to become president of the Lemming Association.

Does anyone know what he was saying back in March of 2000?
I believe he was one that went against John Joseph and was bullish when Joseph said he was correctly seeing signs of a slowdown.

Maybe we should start a table of analysts that effect this industry and plot their prices, targets and ratings for AMAT vs time? This would show who was bullish at the top and who was issuing downgrades as we bottomed.
