>>No one took the presidency without winning both the national popular vote and the electoral college vote.<<

Try looking up Gerald Ford.

From now on, nothing has happened unless you give it your approval. Party Time has not conceded that Bush won the electoral vote! Well, let's just blow up the Supreme Court, declare martial law in Tallahassee, and hold Jeb Bush hostage until we get to the bottom of this!!!

Over votes too. Apparently, the DUH in florida is not monopolized by palm beach. It seems that there are ~700 over votes in Collier county. "Several hundred" of these were punched for Bush and had a write in for bush too.

According To the testimony of judge brennen, there were two of this type vote in palm beach.

"... first use the Palm Beach County conservative counting methodology, and then apply the Broward County liberal counting methodology. Whatever the difference between the two, would give a fair indication as to who won, at least a good enough indication for historians to pass judgment. If Bush loses both counts, his place in history will forever be tarnished."

The third, more correct option is to use the methodolgy used by Palm Beach and other Florida counties in prior elections... no dimples, no light tests, count only chads hanging by 1 or 2 corners... Bush would win this recount.

Bush would probably win even the "new" Palm Beach type recount (as Broward would have to be redone)...

Bush hasn't yet proven to me that he's won Florida.

Bush doesn't have to prove it to you, he convinced the USSC. Gore lost. Get over it. JLA

No matter how many times you repeat that garbage, the fact will remain that George W. Bush is the legitimate next President of the United States of America.

Wrong. Come on, you know this. If you don't, go read some history.

Give all the ballots to gore to take home to his chicken ranch/tobacco farm and he can spend the next 4 years counting them.

herald.com.

"Hundreds of felons cast votes illegally...The majority of the illegal votes -- 330 -- were cast in Palm Beach and Duval counties, which decided not to participate in the statewide effort this year to purge felons, dead people and double registrants from the rolls...Nearly 75 percent of the illegal ballots discovered by The Herald were cast by registered Democrats..."

PT, You said: "Bush will get extremely unkind treatment from our nation's historians. HOW DO YOU KNOW???? A CRYSTAL BALL, perhaps???? How can you tell the future???

GWBush has nothing to do with Nixon. Yes, I agree that someday ALL the votes will be counted. Hopefully they have all been under lock and key so that additional ballots can't have been inserted, or more holes punched in the original ones, and all sorts of ETCs....

What do you think will be the outcome of all the UNCOUNTED absentee ballots still not counted.....California alone has over ONE MILLION ABSENTEE ballots that aren't counted...

Do you or anyone else know of a site that would show the total number of absentee ballots that each State has that haven't been counted, because one of the candidates had already won by a larger total than the number of these ballots.

If one added up ALL the absentee's across the country, wonder if Gore would have still won the popular vote??? People say it doesn't matter, and in one way it doesn't, as we all know it's the Electoral votes that count.

But unless they are eventually counted, it will give people like you, and Jesse Jackson, to continue to say "the election was stolen".

Hopefully everyone on any of the political boards on SI, will make it their business in the next couple of years to make sure for themselves, and let everyone know, just how and what the rules are for actual Registration for Voting takes place in their State, and what the Actual requirements are.....

How many States do NOT require a proof of identity and what kind of proof that the person is in fact a citizen of this country do they require???? Can anyone vote, even if they are not a citizen in this country. ???

Yes, PartyTime...it is going to be an interesting next few years....Maybe that is the positive thing about the last several weeks. More of us have finally awakened, and are now prepared to go to check some things out for ourselves.

The great thing is that we CAN publish our findings on SI as well as other places!

You said: BG, be prepared. Bush will get extremely unkind treatment from our nation's historians. Perhaps worse than how
Nixon has been viewed. No one took the presidency without winning both the national popular vote and the
electoral college vote. Bush hasn't yet proven to me that he's won Florida. And the historians will, for the record,
count Florida's votes.
