But, one point we should clarify, is that Lucent is not a takeover candidate b/c of their fabulous execution, but b/c of their horrendous execution. Whatever company that does take them over is getting alot of debt and layers of management that will need to be cut. Additionally, they will inherit a culture that fails to produce products out of the company's that Lucent takes over....

Maybe AT&T will take them out and continue on with their great successes....

Hi all - well, your truly has margined up the eye balls, so... <SG>. I think beating up Mr Sagawa is meaningless. I mean, everyone knows his bearish stand. Talking heads and scribes seek him out to serve as their foil. It is more important for Mr Roth & co to be more vigilant about rumor. If it is not true and within reasonable circumstance, they should come out strongly to disspel it. If it is true, not that I wish it to happen, they should come clean quickly. The rumormonger loves uncertainty. Of course, Mr Roth & co have work to do, so they can defend the stock all the time. However, rumormongering is insidious, they should be watchful. JMHO
