Kevin, where in your research does the coming earnings season from roughly January first through January 31st factor? Is your research, whether it is fuzzy logic, cycles, waves, typhoons, or technical analysis take the huge variable of earnings results into the analysis? That is probably the single most important factor. Don't you all see that every day sector after sector, company after company are not meeting estimates (let alone beating them).

Sure I can see where you would be right, but that is not in analysis its in artificial intervention. If you are right it is because of intervention of the Feds and than your theories will work but not standing alone. To put in in another way.. the only way the plain jane/jo can be beautiful is if she/he gets a total body makeover, including implants, hair weaves, bicept implants, nose job, tummy tuck etc. Forget it if you think using the torso track alone will do it. ARTIFICIAL intervention will make this market whole and nothing less.

I stand corrected here. I still believe investors should take the opportunity to buy into the weakness today and tomorrow. Many stocks have retraced back 50-60% from recent the recent run-up from November 30th to December 11th. I'm suggesting a buy and hold strategy for 2 months in tech, and a then a daytrading portion can be bought or sold on your positions on a daily basis.
