Frank, in reality, I'm a very gracious person. However, I don't believe Bush was gracious in his behavior concerning the Florida election. Interestingly, all day Saturday, when the Judge Lewis got the recounts going, my comment to everyone I encounted was: "At least this way we'll have as fair a representation as possible as to who won. If Bush wins, then I can accept it." I must have uttered this remark a half a dozen times.

Well, you know what happened afterwards. Bush whined to his cohorts on the U.S. High Court and got the decision he needed, mostly from Reagan-Bush appointees.

So, yeah, in consideration of the above, I'm less than gracious. I'm also extremely bent out of shape by how the minority voters were treated in Florida. It's my belief that the treatment they got was part of how Jeb was able to assure his brother that he'd win Florida. What fooled 'em and put the election into a tie was that the minority vote was far stronger than they believed it was gonna be, thus messing up the fix. I'm sorry, Frank. But Bush's presidency has this behind him. The fact is, it's flawed. Deeply flawed. There will be no unity, regardless of all the pomp stuff you see spoken over the next few days.

PartyTime Concession--Frank, to you and others with whom I've debated to vigorously over these past few months, I congratulate each of you--even the name-callers and those who've hurled SI bombs and insults. You folks have argued your determination very well and, although I vehemently disagree, I respect you.
