Catholic Church used to be more liberal leaning. Doubt if there are many left-wingers left anymore, other than Jesuits in the universities. Big deal now in the Catholic Council of Bishops is giving the bishops power to sanction (i.e. hire and fire) religious educators at universities like Marquette, St. Louis U. Loyola, Xavier.

Kennedy Clan, Kennedy Shman.... My family, both of my parents families, and 99% of my other relatives are Catholic, and we are predominantly conservative Republicans. You can't cherry pick one family and say that they are representative of a religion... Unless it's the Father, Son , and Holy Spirit... ;-)
