Nonsense! If Bush were to appoint an environmental advocate to Interior or a moderate to the SC, I would be very happy! If he were to risk the wrath of the right-to-lifers and support family planning at home and free speech for reproductive choice overseas, I would be overjoyed. In opposing Dubya I am at least consistent: I have NEVER voted for anyone but Democrats (although I do admit to having one R. friend, with three others under investigation...)

OTOH, I don't realistically expect him to take any actions that would inflame the far right wing majority of his party because he's too much of a politician to have either the backbone or principle to do this...
