Andrew...Reading your post
leads one to believe that
you are a narrow viewed partisan
who values their political affiliation
over being an American.

Is that really what you meant to impart to
us on the CPQ Thread?

What does,
"free speech for reproductive choice overseas" mean.
This sounds like an international traveller who doesn't
want to cheat on their spouse but likes to talk about it.

You know what? He already has started to rile up the far right. Why do you think they are starting to write op/ed pieces (Gary Bauer in the NYT for one) about how Bush can never appease the Dems and he should cozy up to the far right?

They don't like his (so far) very moderate choices for cabinet positions.
They don't like the fact he is EVEN CONSIDERING Tom Ridge for Sec. of Defense.
They don't like the fact he is considering several other moderates.

Problem is, people like you who think consistency of voting is a "good" thing are so blind to the realities that swirl around you...all you can see is "partisan behavior".

That was Clinton's problem. Every time something didn't go his way, he screamed partisanship and started scathing attacks on people's personalities. Then, he'd take the issue away and become even more partisan in how he addressed it than the people who were dealing with it.

At least Bush is putting extremely competent people in these positions. Let's see...Warren Christopher..that was a joke. Shalala and Reich? You gotta be kidding. Of all the appointments Clinton made, only Rubin was decent. And Reno...but even Clinton hates Reno cause she made him look stupid.
