Off topic, Dan! (you know, from the topic of INTC and presidential elections)

<It's just another case of California being California - being baffled that plant operators don't want to buy $1,000 worth of gas to generate $250 worth of electricity.>

Do you live in California? What is California doing to fix this? I just read that the CA governor and Sen. Feinstein want another price cap. Is this another "liberal" thing, or am I missing the big picture?

Dan,

It's just another case of California being California - being baffled that plant operators don't want to buy $1,000 worth of gas to generate $250 worth of electricity.

LOL. Did California pass an initiative capping the price of electricity? I seem to recall that at one time there was a referendum that mandate the price of car insurance, or something like that.
