Indeed, tout TV is entertainment at it's finest for J6P when his stocks go up everyday, or when he's told to "buy the dip...", but as you said, in a grinding bear mkt, watching CNBS is akin to a dentist office visit if you're one of the schmucks who bought into the "buy the dip" schpeel.
