I sure hope so. This warning should come as a surprise to no one. Seems like many of the PC/related stocks have warned so why not MSFT. MSFT has traded mostly to the downside so it was expected. Nevertheless given the fact that they warned in and of itself should pull the market down tomorrow given that they rarely misguide. Will be adding to selected issues on this weakness...

I would hope with all the pc warnings, the market would have figured msft could come in lite...but, if as you say things are getting shelled in after hours, then maybe not.....looks like more bargains tomorrow, huh? I'm kinda getting tired of all these blue light specials, but I guess I'll have a chance to get those jdsu calls on the cheap and maybe add to atml if she too is getting whacked on the msft news.

sheez....this has been a long year.....I assume Volty is out playing golf or something....notice he hasnt said much today....wonder what his view is on the rally he called for today and tomorrow and monday.....

MSFT off $2 1/2 AH........

>>"I can't help but think that the market saw it coming and thus the weight on the NAZ these past days. "<<

Actually, MSFT was up 3 5/8 Mon & 5/16 Tues.... down $1 1/8 Wed..... However, MSFT is about 55% off it's 52 week high already..... It is down 23.2% since Nov 27th.

YAHOO shows MSFT's P/E at 32.53...... which might be a bit high if their growth will be less than 15 - 20% next yr.

I'm sure this could be used as a catalyst to bring the whole market down again. Perhaps down in AM, recover some/most by close. Green would be nice..... very nice.

Protect that equity......

CA,

Saw no print of any kind about Softie's warnings. I feel this is going to definitely send us lower. I do believe it may help us toward a final bottom, but we are not there yet. My first thought after Softie warned was that as beaten down as it has been, the last thing we needed was them to warn. We are headed down further before we bottom.

Later,
Joel
