I don't know why INS is so lax in this area. It's not like they would be throwing people out of the country if they can't pass a real citizenship / English exam - the applicants are already permanent residents. The applicants can come again for another exam later if they fail. Joe, I think any laxness on the part of the INS was exacerbated by the FL Dept of Elections. And it wasn't only illegals but dead people and felons as well. And how much did you say that K. Harris gets paid? ted
