I have no problem with scalping, chris and vad are two of the best traders I know and they are both scalpers so I do not have anything bad to say about proper scalping. I agree with Linda's comment that reducing your time frame will decrease risk. However, what many scalpers end up doing is also reducing reward to such an extent that they can not make money after ordinary costs. This is speaking from my own experiance trying to scalp..I just cant do it. Each person has to find their own way, and every single manner of trading has its good points and bad. Every person needs to find what works for them.

aldrums,

It blows my mind to have LBR quoted to me by someone who has only been trading for 2 months. It will take you years to fully understand what Linda teaches so well. It's nonsense to think I personally have something against scalping. I do admit that my choice of words was not the best. But if you took the time, you'd notice that Apakhabar and I have had many civil and enjoyable discussions. And I certainly don't mind pouring a little fuel on the fire to get more discussion going and keeping this thread alive.

I also find your comments insulting after spending such a nice time with you in Ontario. I will continue to express my opinion whether or not you want me to. That you call it "bad mouthing" does nothing to contribute to an interesting discussion. I become an easy target for people like you because I'm an active contributor to this thread and have a lot of words that you can pick apart and find fault with. You spend most of your time lurking. Why don't you spend a little more time sharing your experiences with the group?

<how many posts are we going to have to endure about your book before it finally comes out?>

Almost all references have been in response to someone else asking or commenting about it. There are two new ones this morning which I intend to respond to, whether or not it meets with your approval. Second, this may surprise you but I thought that I was sharing an interesting experience with friends rather than making any sales pitch. Quite frankly, I sit in my office alone, day after day, and this thread is a major conduit to the outside world. There is no big corporation here or selling machine that I'm pushing. There really has been no intent on my part to spam anything out there. But I am as proud as a new papa about the book and it's hard for me to not express that.

Alan

No offense. But I happen to value TA and others comments,
and I'm also waiting for TA's book.

It's the holidays, let's be polite.
