Hi Tom, i think all long hope is on a rate cut surprise tuesday. Just a neutral bias may rally the market for a day, two the most.

Yes, I lived through that crisis. Not bragging but rather complaining. That's when we walked around with the Jimmy Carter buttons that said WIN...Whip Inflation Now. However, there was no liquidity in that market as there is now. The go go market of the sixties really ended in 1970 and we had 4 years of a nothing market before that shellacking.
