I see that, but I the performance increases estimated for an integrated NB would far outweigh the extra 10 bucks.

That issue shows how silly the Rambus royalty scheme is. The memory controler might be physically part of a northbridge of physically part of the CPU but its the same thing. Whats next are they going to sue the box makers for 5% royalties on their sales because all PCs have memory controlers.
