William, WOW there's somebody else around here who knows the history of this dope! -- Except that you don't seem to know how much of an idiot he was in '87. Go look at the interest rate charts of '87 & run them against the appointment of AG, then figure out what caused the massive F*UP he provided lots of liquidity to rescue us from, which caused inflation, which screwed in the recession of 90-92.

In my opinion his appointment was the worst error made by a republican president since Nixon's price controls back in -- what was it -- '70? '71?

Oil price increases and shortages came about because OPEC has little respect (and no fear) of the current administration in the White House. Thankfully that should change soon.

You guys crack me up. Bush ain't gonna make the stock market go up, and he ain't gonna make the price of oil come down. (Unless we go into a recession, and nobody has anywhere to drive.)
