If SI sentiment is any indicator, we must be near a bottom. This is the worst in the 5 years I've been on this board. Of course, that 5 years has been all bull!

Re bottoms,

I've noticed that bottoms tend to be formed when the bulls become totally silent and the shorts start gloating. There's a kind of irrational pessimism that takes hold where it doesn't matter how much cash the company has for example. With sun i would expect that to happen if it hits low 20s and some gloating short starts talking about it going to 10 and the longs kind of sulk in the corner. Flaming longs is a good sign of further to go in my opinion. This is all based on these chat boards. Technically 22 1/2 looks good for other reasons and fundamentally 22 1/2 is 3 times the 75 cents or 1x growth rate if understand that metric correctly (assuming growth is 30%). Makes sense to at least start watching closely at that point if it occurs.

Hi kb,
My personal targets have been, for many months, $25 for SUNW and $37 for CSCO. We're getting close to the first, but what worries me is I'm still hearing semi-optimistic statements like "such and such seems a fair price" or "$___ would be a good entry point" from the longs. I may have to lower my targets for both.

I would lower your target if you believe, like many, that the market won't rally until Feb or Mar 2001.

Much lower, if you ask me.

Disclaimer - I own SUNW stock.
