First time in 10 years that softie has warned.

If not could this be a symptom of:

1. recession
2. poor management
3. products not up to expectations
4. other?

Hmmm...

For years I've been skeptical of Greenspan's ideas about balancing the economy by raising the price of money.

I thought that's what inflation is. Expensive money. Which hurts business because it has to pay more to expand, but helps government because it gets a bigger share. Sort of like taxes.

I've also listened to those who believe Clinton is the one to congratulate for the formerly great economy. I've argued the reason is the growth of computers has made our economy more efficient by reducing middle management, better and faster design, etc. Is anyone blaming Clinton now?

The price of oil has bothered me. Clinton's response was to go to the oil producing countries and beg them to lower prices!!! "OH dear, oil is expensive. Could you please lower prices for me, your good friend?" Like they are going to look at our standards of living and go "Oh those poor Americans can hardly afford to drive those $40,000 SUVs. Maybe we SHOULD lower the price of oil."

Energy and interest rates have huge effects on our economy. Unfortunately we (or should I say Jeb's crackers and bumblers) seemed to have elected a president that from my view will probably not do anything about these problems. (He also seems relatively unintelligent. That's the nicest way I can put it.)

Does anyone have the same feelings I've had? If so why don't we hear any complaints?
