I am not sure what you mean by political reality but I doubt very much that there will ever be a final vote count taken of the ballots in FL.

The ballots will probably counted by some one eventually. But the result will be meaningless not just in the sense that it doesn't determine who will be President next January, but also in that there is no possible hard exact certain count given the nature of these ballots and the hanging chads ect.
