Hmm, I'm not entirely sure, but isn't this a regulatory thing? I understood that broker/dealers were only allowed to calculate buying power once per day...

Mike, I don't think this is a Cyber issue but a regulation as to what is a daytrade.

Whatever you start the day with is what you have to trade - they neither substrace nor add trades intraday.

If you make a grand profit - or loss - on a trade, it does not change your capital until the next day. If you hold overnight - or for weeks - and sell, that is not added until the next day as well.
