Stomper, I'm afraid that you're right. The accounting procedures that a lot of these tech companies (not just infra) have been using to enhance their financial statements may prove to be their ultimate undoing. It may also be the pin that bursts the economic bubble? If so the damage won't be contained within the tech sector...financial institutions and the old economy sectors will feel the pain also. I fear that we may have been living through a period of mass denial when it came to facing the reality of what may have been done with the numbers to meet growth expectations and goals? The chickens may be coming home to roost? I've been a bull for almost a decade, now I'm not so sure.
