I don't consider McCarthy to be a leading analyst regarding IBM. For instance, IBM will have G7 ramped for the first quarter and unfortunately, by the end of the second quarter, all the easy volumes will have been closed and shipped so his contention that G7 and Shark upgrades are second quarter events is a quarter late IMHO. Waiting to see how Dubya fills out his Cabinet. Could be a major event if Gerstner is named somewhere. It will give Palmisano a chance to clear the deck which means negative short term catalysts. I will be glad when the year is over and this transition is over. Remain heavily in cash.
