Hi Steve,

nVidia acquired 3dfx to get the gigapixel stuff. The reason is simple... nVidia can't make the specs they promised MSFT for the xBox without the gigapixel tech (gigapixel was originally to be the graphics engine for xBox).

I respectfully disagree. The development kits for X-Box have been shipping for about 4 months now. The hardware for X-Box is pretty much set at this point.

Bob

Is anything known about this GigaPixel technology?

Any guesses as to what part(s) of the X-Box specs NVIDIA can't make?
