There is an advantage where your stops won't get gunned since they're not seen on Globex . . . but the slippage would be more and that is a disadvantage. Also, the times when the system gets slow and your stop doesn't get hit at all.

I think MarketTrac (a stock only broker I think) has the same thing and at the time I looked at them, I thought this was an advantage since I was paranoid about stops being gunned. I guess I am less paranoid now, but not sure whether I should be. The emini trades very differently from stocks -- the lack of market makers is scary as seen by the huge drops that happen due to lack of bids!
