However ...

They are in no way involved in standards development for UMTS (yet).

Perhaps it already is being applied - though not directly by QCOM - through a circuitous route - with HSPDA in 3GPP.....

IJ says any flavor of CDMA is just fine ...

Why not any flavor of HDR?
