interesting way of getting into the Libertarian agenda

Poet, I think that pro-choice is one of the most elemental and obvious libertarian positions we encounter these days. It fascinates me that so many libertarians can find a comfy home in the Republican party.

The right to donate to a charity of one's own choosing, well, that's kinda off the mark.

I was using that as a parallel. Many of our taxes are used for what are essentially charitable causes. The government assumes that I can't or won't make competent decisions in this regard and therefore makes the decision for me. The point that I am trying to make is that these (including the right to terminate a pregnancy) are individual decisions that only the individual is qualified to make.

Hope that this clarifies that I wasn't trying to throw out a red herring that isn't relevant to the discussion.
