If you made a statement and you could supply proof about a liberal politician's health affecting their mental abilities I think your posting would be reasonable. Alzheimers' sufferers have symptoms that begin way ahead of the full blown disease. You would have to be living in fairy land not to suspect that many of Reagan's faux pas and his nappy naps, and the fact that he was handled so carefully, had to do with his not being quite all there. He was pretty far gone very soon after leaving office. Alzheimers really doesn't develop that way, it's not a "boom, you're suddenly a vegetable" disease- it comes on gradually. I've no idea what Bush jr's excuse is. Perhaps he has juvenile Alzheimers.

Hey Tim: What I see in your posts ...

... in an implication that you feel that you have the 'right' to tell me, not only, what I should or should not do in the hypothetical situation in which I would be a pregnant female, but also how I should think about it.

How I 'should' feel ... which you clearly state that you feel abortion is murder.

What is so wrong with people like you is your RIGHTEOUSNESS.

I'm not telling you on this board, for instance, that you 'should' feel that an unborn fetus isn't life, as I believe.

But you evidently feel as if you have every right to tell me I'm wrong.

See what I mean?

I have recieved a PM from Poet about posting to much from the conservative viewpoint here.

I'm sorry if all my questions contributed to that rebuke. I've never participated in a moderated thread so I'm feeling my way along. I've been enjoying our discussion.

Karen

Tim, you surprise me. I PMed you this morning, rather than post a public rebuke because, as I explained, your posts are
not disrespectful in style, but rather extremely numerous. I told you that I woke up this morning to find that, of 34 posts, eleven were yours, all arguing against the liberal perspective here. I reminded you that this is not an open forum and that it is important to me that liberals on SI have a place to speak to each other free of attack and of being asked to provide "proof". I told you that there are a few new posters who are just beginning to voice their views and I'd like very much that they feel comfortable doing so. I asked you to respect my wishes as thread moderator. Now I see you've posted to the thread in order to take a vote.

Lots of people have said lots of nasty things about Gore here, and haven't gotten banned do don't get your drawers all twisted.

I have mentioned this before, but when Reagan once was testing a microphone instead of one two three he quipped in a pseudo announcement that bombs were already en route to Russia, clearly the free association fantasy of someone who was not rational. I think he seriously blew his cover there as trustable with that kind of power.

Am I annoyed by your posts. To tell the truth, yes. I'd rather we got back to conversing amongst ourselves and not having to defend our positions against the RW. I'd not have invited you, and wish you'd get your own porch. But I concede to the will of the majority. If they want to debate, I'm not gonna leave the party.
