Now here's a weird one...
WACO, Texas (AP) _ A man was arrested near the ranch of President-elect
George W. Bush while driving a car containing firearms, authorities said.

Driving in Texas with firearms in the car?? I'm shocked! Truly shocked!! :-)
We may have a second amendment issue here.

Does this mean that all surgery to remove cells from the body should be illegal

That's an intriguing idea. I'd never thought of it that way.

1 - Abortion is not performed on single cell fertilized ova. It is more often performed on third trimester fetuses then on single cells.

2 - A fertilized egg just needs a suportive environment (the mother's womb provideing an excellent one) to continue to develop. A muscle cell or skin cell ect. would require more then just oxygen, food, water, warmth and physical protection to develop in to a person.

3 - I probably will reply to any continuations of this debate with private messages only. This subject is very highly charged and arguing my viewpoint on it (at least with multiple posts) does not apparently fall in to the boundries of this message board. It is the type of discussion that often generates a lot of heat and apparently this may not be the appropriate place for it.

BTW - I have no solid opinion on the death penalty. I have gone back and forth on it but even when I have had a position I have had doubts as well. I do see a distinction between it and abortion in that one kills an innocent while the other kills the guilty, but I am concerned that possibly some people convicted of capital crimes might be innocent. I think these case are few and far between but I doubt that would be much consolation to the innocent man facing execution. I also have some doubt about how many potential murderers it would deter. Of course the person executed will never himself kill again. If any great number of people would be detered by the death penalty I would think it would be those who might commit a murder to cover up another crime. A criminal might kill to avoid 10 years in prison for another crime, but just might be detered if he knew he would be executed for the murder if caught.
So to get to the point I am undecided about the death penalty at this time. I am open to being convinced by either side but have probably all ready heard all the likely arguments.

Should there be laws protecting wet dreams, or masturbation byproducts?
EDIT (Dang missed it.)
