Perhaps a prod to Nokia. Give it enough time to design nifty handsets without filters. Let it know that the landscape is changing very fast, and that it would be wise to sign up soon before the costs go up, as Dr. J. has warned.

microe,

For example, the current MSM's only have the digital portion of Bluetooth on chip. A Bluetooth radio would still be required to complete the function. If Bluetooth takes off in the coming years, I would think that this could be another integration/cost reduction step.

Microe (or anyone else)

Can you compare/contrast QCOM's ZIF for CDMA and WCDMA vs Philip's near-zero IF for GSM and WCDMA?

Thanks,
Andy
