I've been trading with the IB Java TWS since Dec. 6 and have been very happy with it. No problems at all- just as fast as the old one and a lot more convenient because of the resizing feature.

Nemer, I appreciate the input you and your buddy have provided regarding IB. I downloaded the java version last night and even found the trade button. It looks,...well, kinda like Patrick said, blank :), but looking at the format I'm sure it has potential. For myself, the old version 3.0 is manageable, tho somewhat clumsy and the new version when it every decides to light up, should be much better as you say.

Now, I thought a futures only account which is what I have, couldn't use the new java version, No? I got the blank screen Patrick received and could not load ES NQ symbols and demo trades, probably need to wait my turn.

Thanks again for the response about IB. I'm trying to keep an open mind about the whole process.

Do people have generally only one account or usually two for futures?
