Re: 'Mikey's missives'

A perfect example of a peer to peer comparison. Relative to his peers, Mikey's misses have not been as bad. Relative to what he said, a lot of overzealous got their feelings hurt cause they felt like their leader misled them. If anybody has really been following this they'd know that Carly Fiorina, Tedd Waitt, Steve Jobs, Craig Barrett, et. al. have all had worse misses. The fanatics following them are bashing these CEO's mercilessly. You honestly think that somehow M. Dell has fared worse in the numbers game?
The facts certainly dont support it.

I wouldn't get too carried away with the impossible expectations of the past and how Dell is disappointing.. boo hoo. I look at it for what it is... a solid company maturing at the bottom of the business cycle. Awesome cash machine with an impeccable balance sheet that will explode with the next wave of technology growth. At a market cap of $45B, it's a bargain.

You must be really short this thing to be thinking Dell's miss will be on par with APPL or Gateway.. good luck<gg>.
Dell's worst miss was Q4 last year and that was significantly better than what APPL and GTW are currently looking at. Dell would have to post a HUGE disappointment much bigger than anything in the last 7 years.

But you know, nobody knows what's going to really happen and anybody says they do is full of shi*, myself included.
I hope your with me on this point.

MH
