Robert, Re: Greenspan will need to be very cautious because he can't be seen as bailing out a floundering stock market, especially the NASDAQ which is still two and a half times its level of 5 years ago

What is wrong with that ? Does it mean any business must grow in a rate no more than say 15% ?

Robert,

re" Greenspan will need to be very cautious because he can't be seen as bailing out a floundering stock market, especially the NASDAQ which is still two and a half times its level of 5 years ago.

I personally think that the irrationality has been taken out of the market. I know that's open to disagreement, and I may be wrong. But I don't think, at least for the forseeable future, that we could see the valuations that we saw last March.

And I'm not sure that the Nasdaq shouldn't be 2 1/2 time higher than it was 5 years ago, when you think of the technology that has been implemented, and the subsequent profits that have been and continue to be generated.
