What a truly surreal response. You say that you're providing "nearly everything" on the wish list, yet THE MOST IMPORTANT TOP TWO ITEMS are ignored! George Orwell, where are you? NO ONE cares about your TOP strategy of "Improving the consistency of message displays." Your made-up item isn't even on the list!

What in the world is so difficult to understand? We want one thing: the ability to get ALL new messages on bookmarked threads with ONE click. All else is fluff. WE had it before, and you took it away.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I guess it's not too late to short INSP.

Helloooo

What is it about One Click you guys don't understand?
Why can't a simple program like BrowseMaster be included??

John,
Tell your management to get in touch with Craig Richards.
At this point, it just makes good business sense to give customers what they ask for. Especially if it's a little drop in the bucket, program.

Fred

John,

<< We've always felt like Silicon Investor's superior message board technology is one reason we have such loyal users. These changes will allow our heaviest users to read more messages in less time and widen the gap between SI and other message boards - features... released: In stages, but all during Jan/Feb/Mar (Q1), 2001. >>

I applaud SI's decision to have "BrowseMaster like" features added to SI, in stages, this quarter.

Thank You.

I noticed that on December 20, Craig Richards offered to make a private version of BrowseMaster that he made for his own use, available to you:

127.0.0.1:3456/SI/stocktalk/readmsg.aspx?msgid=15057051

I am VERY hopeful that you have taken him up on his offer.

It is highly unfortunate that SI made no effort in the last year to encourage Craig to offer a version of his exceptional program while SI focused on "infrastructure priorities".

That type of encouragement to developers has made many good companies, great companies.

That type of encouragement would have eliminated some of the pain and suffering of heavy duty users of the SI message boards.

Perhaps Craig would have though differently about discontinuing his exceptional and reasonably priced (underpriced, IMO) add on, IF he, like we, had any idea it would take this long to add similar features to SI, and if he had active encouragement from SI.

SI users have been deprived of an exceptional tool for a very extended period of time as a result.

User satisfaction with SI is, unfortunately at an all time low right now.

I am VERY hopeful that you have taken Craig up on his offer.

I am VERY hopeful that SI can execute on the promised deliverables.

I wish there was a version of BrowseMaster available to SI users at the moment.

Have a GREAT New Year.

... and please get this exceptional message board running a bit (lot) better ... and I'd also like to say we are all grateful for your efforts on our behalf.

- Eric -

John,

On Thursday, Jan 4 I posted to you:

Message 15124322

I did NOT ask for a response.

I do have two questions for you now however:

1.) Did you take Craig Richards up on his generous offer to provide you with a private version of BrowseMaster?

2.) Are we still on schedule for BrowseMaster features?

Please respond.

I also have a request:

* Please have all fonts on classic and standard restored to the condition they were in at 8PM EST last evening ASAP.

I might add ... from the user side ... multiplied by however many users we still have here ... this is ALL very painful.

Thank You,

- Eric -
