Nah...those were not 'real' businesses ,,,most were start-ups thrown together to sell paper for the brokerage houses....that's half the point...a lot of them were destined to fail based on the greed of the houses....In some cases it's not even the businesses fault.

If they had watched expenses and not blown out IPO First day (allocation) dollars...some of them may have survived...That's partially what makes me so angry with the brokers who abused ....

Given a different scenario ,,,,companies like Etoys may have survived....?? (and not blown out in 12 months)

Now they are stuck with this stygma...they have to overcome...It sucks...
