this really does suck! What are the economic reasons? Tight money? artificially created by the FOMC! WHY? The constitution does not allow for a 4th branch of Government! The FED IS over-stepping it's bounds from managing the currency to the management of the economy...hell...the world economy.... again I ask WHY??? ALL this has been induced by the FED to what cause....sustained growth?....give me a break!!!!!It is not the job of the FED to reduce the national deficit!!!!!!!!!!

I think that a tax cut would be neutral in terms of inflation, and is a way to stimulate the economy without creating inflationary pressure. Am I wrong? TIA LoF

Nice assessment of conditions. I know people who voted for BUSH merely to have the market go up. His pick of Treasure Secretary and some of his other planned moves (tax cut) are certainly fodder for this tumultuous market. Makes one think especially being down over three hundred thousand as of today. A Gore supporter who would have liked to have seen who was best for the market..... Suma
